Olathe celebrates its WinterFest on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, starting at 5:15 p.m. at the Olathe Community Center.
The event will include visits with Santa, performances by school choirs, face painting and the lighting of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree.
Here’s the schedule:
- 5:15 p.m.: Visit Santa. Activities, crafts and local choirs perform throughout the center.
- 5:15 – Tomahawk Elementary Choir
- 5:35 – Olathe North High School Choir
- 5:55 – Mission Trail Middle School Choir
- 6:15- Pleasant Ridge Elementary Choir
- 7:10 – Trails West Barbershop
- 6:45 p.m.: Mayor Michael Copeland and Fox 4 Meteorologist Joe Lauria light the Mayor’s Christmas Tree
- 7:30 p.m.: Showing of the movie “Elf” (blankets only, please)
Participants are asked to park at Olathe North, 600 E. Prairie. and take the free shuttle
