Every day through December 30, 2016. the Plaza Library has FREE winter break activities for kids.
Here is the schedule:
- Monday, December 19 (2-3 p.m.): Christmas Crafts and Bookworms. The kids will make winter tree scenes, tree ornaments, and bookworm bookmarks. All supplies provided.
- Tuesday, December 20 (10:30-11:25 a.m.): Holiday Storytime. A special storytime celebrating the winter holidays, followed by craft time and refreshments. Children of all ages welcome.
- Tuesday, December 20 (2-3 p.m.): Fun with Food Crafts! The kids will make an edible craft for themselves … Melted Snowman Bark … and a birdfeeder for our feathered friends.
- Wednesday, December 21 (10:30-11:15 a.m.): Baby Bounce. It’s never too early to read to your baby! The library will provide stories and activities for children newborn to 18 months of age.
- Wednesday, December 21 (2-3 p.m.): Movie Mania – Santa Paws 2! “A brand-new litter of the cutest talking pups ever, Hope, Jingle, Charity, and Noble–it’s perfect for the whole family. When Mrs. Claus travels to Pineville, the playful Santa Pups stow away on her sled. They grant joyful wishes to Pineville’s boy’s and girls, but something goes terribly wrong–the Christmas spirit begins to disappear. Now, the Santa Pups and Mrs. Claus must race to save Christmas around the world.”
- Thursday, December 22 (9:30-10:15 a.m.): Tales for Tiny Tykes. Bring your little one (18-36 months) for a storytime.

- Thursday, December 22 (2-3 p.m.): Christmas STEAM! Check out science experiments holiday-style! The kids will make jingle bells dance, create a blizzard in a bottle, make Santa’s Magic Milk, and explode a few snowballs. Kids of all ages welcome!
- Friday, December 23 (10:30-11:15 a.m.): Preschool Storytime. Preschool age kids (3-5) will enjoy stories, songs, and art in this fun storytime.
- Friday, December 23 (2-3 p.m.): Lego and Marble Run Build Day. See what your child can build. The library will provide the bricks, your child will provide the imagination! Kids of all ages welcome.
- Friday, December 23 (6:30-7:15 p.m.): Holiday Crafts. Kids can make a last-minute gift or a little something to keep themself. Children of all ages welcome.
- Monday, December 26 (2-3 p.m.): Winter Wash Painting. Kids can create their own winter scene painting using just crayons and white paint. Children of all ages welcome!
- Tuesday, December 27 (2-3 p.m.): Movie Mania! the Penguins of Madagascar. “They’re cute. They’re cuddly. They’re back!
