On Saturday, April 3, 2010, the first 200 adults, families or groups to visit Burr Oak Woods Conservation Nature Center can get a free tree to take home to plant. I assume these are seedlings, but the website doesn’t really say. You can choose from these native trees while supplies last: Bur Oak, Kentucky Coffee Tree, Redbud or Wild Plum.
While you’re there, you can take a free hike. Registration is not required.
