Johnson County government agencies, businesses and organizations will join together to present an event for adults 50 and older. Senior Quest 2009 Senior Spooktacular will take place Tuesday, October 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Blvd.
Senior Spooktacular will include information, demonstrations, free health screenings, food, prizes, and entertainment. The event is free and open to the public. Free health screenings will include: blood pressure, blood glucose, vision, hearing, macular degeneration, bone density, diabetic shoe fitting, balance testing, and posture/spinal analysis.
Entertainment and demonstrations will include continuous bingo and featured entertainment:
- 10:00 a.m. – Billie Mahoney Dance Troupe
- 11:00 a.m. – Senior Fashion Show featuring Schmitt Music
- 12:30 p.m. – Don Accurso Orchestra with Garland Woodson
There will also be opportunities to meet with representatives from local museums and historical sites.
Senior Spooktacular is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Free parking is available with shuttle service to the front door. There will be additional parking at Black and Veatch (northwest lot) with free shuttle service.
