Christmas time is the time for blockbuster movies, or at least the producers hope they will be blockbusters. This year’s big movie, coming out Dec. 18 just in time for Christmas, is “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
The Kansas City Public Library is offering free screenings of four of the most popular Christmas Day movies (based on gross, single-day receipts). The “Cold Weather, Hot Flicks” free movies are at 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays in December at the Central Library, 14 W. 10th St., Kansas City, Mo.
Here is the schedule:
December 5: Into the Woods (2014; PG)
December 12: Unbroken (2014; PG)
December 19: Les Misérables (2012; PG-13)
December 26: Sherlock Holmes (2009; PG-13)
