On Saturday, May 20, 2017, the Blue Springs Parks & Recreation and the Sunset Optimist Club will host its annual Fishing Derby for kids ages 5 -14 at Rotary Park. Admission is free.
The lake will be freshly stocked with fish just for this special annual event. Events include casting contests and largest fish caught. Prizes will be given in each age division. Participants receive a free hot dog and drink.
Bring your own fishing pole and bait. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m at Shelter 1.
Rotary Park is located at 600 Northwest Vesper Street in Blue Springs, Missouri.
