The 1855 Harris-Kearney House is hosting a free event to celebrate the famous and infamous ladies of old Westport and early Kansas City. Actors portraying Annie Chambers, Mary Francis Ward, Hattie Kearney, Sarah Candler Coats, Aunt Minerva, Berenice Chouteau, and will tell their stories of joy, love, family, heartache and survival.
The event also includes Pall Mall (early croquet) on the lawn, tea on the veranda, children’s games, music and more.
The celebration is Saturday, May 22, 1020 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
