Okay, the drinks aren’t free, but there’s no charge for being happy. Seriously, the Power a& Light District is kicking off a free Friday night happy hour program. They’re calling it “Downtown is Happy.” Each week you can get happy hour specials at a different participating restaurant and bar.
This Friday, February 26, 2010 Downtown will be happy at Johnny’s Tavern. The Women of KU will sign autographs from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Johnny’s will offer Boulevard specials and half price appetizers from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Star 102 will give away prizes including calendars, gift cards and basketball tickets to the March NAIA basketball tournament.
The Power & Light District is right across the street from the Sprint Center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
