This weekend, June 4-5, 2011, is free fishing weekend in Johnson County Park & Recreation district parks where fishing is normally allowed. During the free fishing weekend, fishing, boating, and archery permits will be waived from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
This event is scheduled to coincide with the state of Kansas’ “Free Fishing and Park Entrance Days,” where state fishing permits at state parks will also be waived.
