The Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center is hosting a day of hands-on activities for Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Cadets, Cub Scouts and Webeloes. The activities, designed for fun and rank advancement, will include woodworking, knot tying, archery, pellet guns, tree and plant identification, map and compass, fire starting, and outdoor cooking, and more. Walk in any time from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010. Admission is free. The Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center is in Kauffman Legacy Park at 4750 Troost Ave. in Kansas City, Missouri.
