The Celebrate Olathe Summer Fest will take place this Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Stagecoach Park and Mahaffie Stagecoach Farm & Museum. Admission is free. You can park at Olathe North High School and a free shuttle will bring you to all the activities.
This event includes live music, family activities, face painting, blacksmith and cookstove demonstrations, 19th century games, and more.
Here’s the schedule:
Mahaffie activities (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.):
- Stagecoach rides (must be in line by 4:30 p.m.)
- Blacksmith and cookstove demonstrations
- Visit the Mahaffie House
- 19th century games
- Music on the Mahaffie front porch from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
- Food available for purchase from the Olathe Noon Optimist Club
Stagecoach Park activities:
- 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.: Family activity zone with face painting and more
- 2:00 p.m.: Funk Syndicate
- 4:00 p.m.: Sons of Brazil
- 7:00 p.m.: Liverpool
