When I first moved into my neighborhood we used to have block parties. It was a great way to get out and meet the neighbors. Leawood United Methodist Church is hosting a community block party on Saturday, August 28, 2010, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. We’re all invited.
Some of the free activities include:
- Live music including kids’ music by Mr. Jeff
- Hot dogs, drinks and other goodies
- Inflatable obstacle course
- Carnival games
- Cakewalk
- Face painting, hair and nail salon
- DDR dance-off
- Door prizes
- Preschool crafts
Leawood United Methodist Church is at 2915 W. 95th Street in Leawood, Kansas.
I went to this last year. My kids had a blast…… Everyone should come.
