Learn basic bird watching skills and ways to help birds in their habitat at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Ave, Kansas City, Missouri. Go on a bird watching hike, learn the calls of birds, and make a nesting box to help the state bird of Missouri. Participants nine years old and older can also build a birdhouse (one per family). Walk in any time between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Birdhouse building classes begin on the hour with the last one starting at 2:00 p.m. All activities are free.
