This sounds like a good reason to take a day off work (seriously). The 9th annual All-American Celebration, a free event to honor local firefighters, police officers and veterans, is Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The flag and honor ceremony is at 11:30 a.m., followed by a free lunch and prizes and presentations.
The All American Celebration will be at the Metcalf 103 shopping center (105th & Metcalf) in Overland Park, Kansas.
