On Saturday, August 6, 2016, Kansas City Parks and Recreation and the Platte County Sports Commission are holding a Youth SportsFest in conjunction with Zona Rosa’s KidFest. Admission is free.
The goal of the Sportsfest is to provide children and their parents with information on a variety of sport choices available in Platte County, and provide a structured opportunity to learn the proper skills needed to have positive youth sports experiences. On-site sports partners will have interactive sport stations set-up allowing youth organizations to showcase their programs and teach basic skills in a variety of sports including basketball, volleyball, football, and soccer.
There will also be entertainment, kid-friendly games, contests, giveaways, sports mascots, and more.
This event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
