On Saturday, March 5, 2016, five talented students ages 13-18 will perform in the Final Round of the Woman’s City Club Charitable Foundation Young Artist Competition at at Helzberg Hall in the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Admission is free. Reservations are required.
Here’s a blurb about the competition from the Kansas City Symphony website:
“Earlier this season, the Symphony invited music students ages 13-18 to apply for a preliminary round of blind-judging auditions. Those selected for the first round of auditions performed one movement of a concerto or a concert piece for solo and orchestra at MidAmerica Nazarene in Olathe, Kan., on Jan. 16. The Symphony judges panel advanced five deserving students to the final round of the Young Artist Competition. After the final round, four prizes will be awarded.”
