Want to break a world record? Here’s your chance.
On Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., Kansas City area YMCAs will be holding a swimming lesson for kids and families. At the same time, others will be gathering at aquatic centers around the globe. Together, they’ll be trying to break the Guinness World Record for the largest swimming lesson.
This purpose of this event is to raise awareness about the importance of learning to swim, in order to prevent drowning.
Admission is free, but they do ask that you register by contacting your local YMCA.
