This Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 9:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Independence Parks and Recreation is holding “Pets in the Park” at Waterfall Park. Admission is free.
Free events include pet contests, demonstrations, and a pet parade. If you’d like to be in the parade, they ask that you bring an item to donate to the Independence Animal Shelter.
Micro-chipping, a “speed trap,” rabies shots, and food and beverages will also be available, but there’s a charge for those.
