The City of Parkville is holding its annual July 4th Celebration on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Admission is FREE but there is a cost for some activities.
This salute to America includes a carnival ($), a community parade, live music, a pancake breakfast ($), games, vendors, music, shopping, fireworks, and more. Activities are happening in multiple locations around downtown Parkville.
A carnival at 100 Main Street in downtown precedes and follows the actual celebration on July 4. There is a $25 nightly wristband special starting at 6 p.m. The carnival is running:
- 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. – Wednesday, July 3
- 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. – Thursday, July 4
- Noon to 11 p.m. Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6

7 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Pancake Breakfast at American Legion
10 a.m.: Community 4th of July Parade, starting at 63rd Street & Hwy 9, ending in Historic Downtown Parkville
11 a.m. to 11 p.m.: Carnival and vendors
8:45 p.m.: Falcon Sky Diving Exhibition, Platte Landing Park
9:45 p.m.: Fireworks at Grigsby Field
Parking and Transportation
There will be a shuttle service running into downtown Parkville from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 4.

- Park University (front entrance at circle drive and 6th Street, parking lot by the soccer field)
