The Kansas City Repertory Theatre hosts their annual OriginKC Festival today, May 11, 2018 and Saturday, May 12, 2018. Admission to most festival events are FREE. Enjoy the playwrights’ forum, panel discussions, staged readings, coffee hour, and Saturday lunch.
Performances of Brother Toad, Welcome to Fear City, and Letters from Freedom Summer are paid, ticketed events.
National VIP guests include Teresa Eyring (Executive Director, Theatre Communications Group), Meredith McDonough (Associate Artistic Director, Actors Theatre of Louisville), Natasha Sinha (Associate Artistic Director, LCT3), and D. Soyini Madison (Professor of Performance Studies, Northwestern University), as well as KC arts leaders including Jeff Church (Artistic Director, Coterie Theatre).

The festival will take place at Spencer Theatre on Friday and Copaken Stage on Saturday.
The Spencer Theatre is located on the campus of UMKC at 4949 Cherry Street in Kansas City, Missouri. The Copaken Stage is located at 1 H&R Block Way in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
