This Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 7:30 p.m., the Kansas City Civic Orchestra will be performing Magnificence, Mendelssohn & Magic! at The Folly Theater. Admission is free. No tickets required.
There will be a pre-concert at 6:45 p.m.
The concert will include:
- Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture, Op. 26 “Fingal’s Cave”
- Mendelssohn’s Violin concerto in E minor, Yu-Fang Chen, violin
- Wagner’s Wotan’s Farewell & Magic Fire Music
- William Funk Trettanrune for String Orchestra, KCCO commission and premiere
