Come out and support local high school students as they compete in the finals of KC Superstar this Sunday, August 29, 2010. KC Superstar is an “American Idol” type event. The winner receives $5,000 plus $1,000 for their school’s fine arts department.
The final 11 contestants will will compete Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Yardley Hall at Johnson County Community College, 12345 College Blvd. in Overland Park, Kansas. Emcee for the event is George Wendt of “Cheers” fame. The Pitch reports that admission is free with the donation of two cans of food for Harvesters.
