Ths City of Leavenworth will be hosting its annual First City Festival this Friday and Saturday, September 9-10, 2011 at Esplanade and Cherokee Streets in downtown Leavenworth. Admission is free, although there is a charge for some of the rides and games.
The festival runs from 3:00 to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday.
This event includes live music, games, kids’ activities, street performers, contests, vendors, a beer tent, a parade, a petting zoo, a giant slide, a giant glove boxing ring, a miniature golf course, and fireworks (at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday).
