This Saturday, April 6, 2013, Kansas City Food Circle is holding its annual Eat Local! Expo at the Penn Valley Community College Gym. Admission is free, but bring cash if you’re planning to buy (some vendors will accept credit cards, but many will not).
At the expo, you can meet and buy direct from local, organic, and free-range farmers and vendors; pick up a free directory of local, organic, and free range producers; and attend free workshops on “Real Food Your Kids Will Love” by local cookbook author Beth Bader (10:00 to 11:00 a.m.), and ”Small Scale Aquaponics” by Urban Harvest KC (11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.).
The expo runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The Penn Valley Community College Gym is lcoated at 3201 Southwest Trafficway in Kansas City, Missouri.
