Powell Gardens invites you to the Festival of Lights this 2023 holiday season.
From Wednesday through Sunday evenings until December 30, visitors can walk through a half-mile walk of holiday lights and unique botanically-themed displays. Festival hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Festival of Lights will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
More than 20 miles of holiday lights make up displays that show off the natural forms of Powell Gardens’ tree collection, architecture and landscape designs of the Gardens.
Festival of Lights Admission 2023
Online, advance purchase of tickets is required. Powell Garden members do not need to purchase festival admission or parking.
Festival of Lights Admission for 2021 is:
- Adults (13+): $18
- Seniors (60+): $17
- Kids (5-12): $9
- Kids (4 and under): FREE
- Parking Pass: $10 (one per vehicle)
Festival of Lights 2023 Activities
There are many festival favorites this year, including:
Holly Jolly Rest Stop: Enjoy beverages (spiked if you want), sweets, and snacks at the Missouri Barn. Fire pits are available so you can enjoy the view.
View From the Top: From the top of the Silo and gaze out over the sparkling wonderland of the Gardens.
Photo Stops: Plenty of photo-worthy photo stops while you explore.
Magic Tree: Take in the spectacle of 3.5+ miles of lights decorating a towering tree as you begin your holiday walk.
Enchanted Tiki Bar: Mele Kalikimaka! A greenhouse is transformed into a holiday-themed enchanted tiki bar complete with island cocktails, live tropical plants, and music.
Fountain of Light: A fully immersive environment at the Fountain Garden.
Marketplace: Shop for garden-inspired and locally made gifts, sweet treats, and poinsettias grown at Powell Gardens each year.
Warming Station: Halfway through your walk, you can stop at the warming station and enjoy hot chocolate, cider, and a display of poinsettias.
Illuminated Passage: A lighted sphere where you can look up and catch a look at the stars while being surrounded by lights.
Santa’s Workshop: Santa is posing for photos from 5 to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
