Crown Center Ice Terrace

Lace up your ice skates for winter fun downtown at the Crown Center Ice Terrace, Kansas City’s original outdoor skating rink.

The Crown Center Ice Terrace opens for its 50th season from November 8, 2024 through March 9, 2025.

Reservations are not required to skate at the Crown Center Ice Terrace this season. Skaters can enjoy the ice without any time limit.

Anyone who wants to leave and return in the same day will be issued a wristband so they don’t have to pay another admission.

Fun Fact: Nearly 10,000 gallons of water is frozen for this wintertime enjoyment.

Crown Center Ice Terrace Admission for 2024-2025

To skate on the rink, there is an admission fee plus a cost for skate rental, unless you bring your own.

Skaters (age 4+): $9
Skate rental: $6
Season pass: $130

Non-skaters who wish to enter the fenced rink area are required to pay admission. Kids 6-12 must be supervised by an adult. Kids under the age of 6 must be accompanied on the ice by an adult.

Crown Center Ice Terrace Hours

The schedule for the Crown Center Ice Terrace is always subject to weather conditions.

During the months of November, December and January the rink is open on the following days and times:

Sunday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

During February and March, the rink is open at on the following days and times:

Sunday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Monday through Thursday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Holiday hours for the Crown Center Ice Terrace vary. See details for these special days:

New Year’s Eve: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

New Year’s Day: noon to 9 p.m.

Crown Center Ice Terrace Location & Parking

Crown Center Ice Terrace is in downtown Kansas City, MO at 2455 Grand Blvd. (25th Street & Grand Blvd.). The rink is located on the Blue Level of the Crown Center Square.

Covered parking for Crown Center Square is available at 25th Street and Grand Blvd. Parking in the East Retail garage is closest to the rink.

Three hours of FREE parking is available with validation at the Ice Terrace. For an additional two hours of parking, take same-day receipts totaling $50+ to Crown Center Customer Service on the second level of the Crown Center shops.
