The votes are in! We have officially determined the best barbecue in Kansas City (and, therefore, the world)!
That’s right! Kansas City agrees! The restaurant that began as meat smoked out the back of a gas station is officially serving the BEST Barbecue in Kansas City. We serve a lot of world-renowned smoked, grilled, and slathered meat in this town—and the competition was hot, but Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que won out.
The Competition
What began as a field of 32 was narrowed down to a top 8: Jack Stack, LC’s, Rosedale, SLAP’s, Joe’s Kansas City, Gates, Q39, and Arthur Bryant’s.
Final Four
From there, we found our top 4 — LC’s, SLAP’s, Joe’s Kansas City, and Q39.
Top Two
Our Top Two pitted the beloved, hidden gem LC’s BBQ against the always-popular, award-winning Joe’s Kansas City BBQ.
