In celebration of Arbor Day, the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is giving away FREE tree saplings to visitors on Saturday, April 30.

A selection of trees native to Kansas will be available while supplies last.
These kinds of giveaways are often popular, so plan to arrive early. The Arboretum opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

National Arbor Day
According to the National Arbor Day Foundation, National Arbor Day is April 29, 2022. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the tree planter’s holiday.
The day is set aside world-wide to raise awareness about the value of trees for cleaning our air, filtering water and protecting our soil from erosion.
