Kansas City youth theater group CYT East presents Shrek the Musical at Bell Cultural Events Center February 22-25, 2018. Advance discount tickets can be purchased online for $11; student and senior (age 65+) tickets are $9. Tickets are $13 at the door.
Here’s a synopsis of the show from the CYT website:
“‘Once upon a time there was a little ogre named Shrek…..’ And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy and a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there is one on hand…. and his name is Shrek.”
