Free concerts, Oktoberfest and Street Dance in Mission

The City of Mission, Kansas, is planning two free concerts in the parks this fall, plus a Mission Street Dance to celebrate Mission’s 75th anniversary and an Oktoberfest celebrations. All are free to attend.

Here are the dates:

Friday, September 18, 6 to 10 p.m. Concert in the Park, with music by the Suburbans. The beer garden will be open. This event is at Mohawk Park, 6649 Lamar Ave., Mission, KS. Food trucks will be on site.

Saturday, September 26, 5 to 9 p.m. Mission Street Dance along Johnson Drive and Woodson in downtown Mission. Expect live music, food trucks, beer from Mission breweries and more.

Saturday, October 3, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oktoberfest in Broadmoor Park. The event is presented by Rockcreek Brewing, Sandhills Brewing and Prairie Sailor. Broadmoor Park is at 5701 Broadmoor St, Mission, KS 66202.

Sunday, October 18, 6 to 10 p.m. Symphony in the Park, featuring the Kansas City Symphony. Bring your own chair. The event is at Mohawk Park, 6649 Lamar Ave., Mission, KS.
