The City of Edgerton bills their Independence Day celebration as the best fireworks show in southern Johnson County.

The festivities take place Friday, July 3 at Martin Creek Park. Park gates open at 6 p.m.
Beginning at 6 p.m., there will be free hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream while supplies last.
Enjoy DJ music, inflatables, face painting and yard games.
The sky lights up with fireworks at approximately 9:45 p.m.
Edgerton starts the celebration in the morning, with a pancake breakfast at The Greenspace for $5 per son (veterans and kids under 5 eat free).
There will be live bald eagle and golden eagle demonstrations at The Greenspace from 9 to 10 a.m., and a citywide scavenger hung from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Martin Creek Park Location
Martin Creek Park is a 20-acre park located at 20200 Sunflower Road, Edgerton, KS. Parking is limited, but there is additional parking across the street at Big Bull Creek Park. You can also get free shuttles from The Greenspace (303 E. Nelson) and Edgerton Elementary in the south parking lot (400 W. Nelson). Shuttles will run 6 to 11 p.m.
