Independence Day celebrations in Kansas City don’t get much better than the Kearney Fireworks Celebration sponsored by the Kearney Chamber of Commerce.

This FREE event is open to the public and happens at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026. Shiprocked is the featured performer for the FREE concert to celebrate America’s birthday.
There are lots of freebies at the Kearney Fireworks Celebration, including FREE admission, FREE parking and FREE cotton candy at the amphitheater and playground.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket with you for the fun. Concessions are available or you can bring your own picnic.
Kearney Fireworks Celebration Schedule
Here are the activities to enjoy at the Kearney Fireworks Celebration:
5:30 to 8:30 p.m. FREE inflatables and activities for kids
7:45 p.m.: FREE Shiprocked concert
9:30 p.m.: FREE fireworks (attendees are encouraged to be parked by 9 p.m.)
The event is at the Kearney Amphitheater, 3001 N Hwy 33, inside Jesse James Park.
