Get a jumpstart on Independence Day with the Greenwood Freedom Festival on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Joel Dean Hitt Park.

Admission is FREE. Some activities have a cost.
Attendees can shop vendors, enjoy food and beverages from food trucks and enjoy the fireworks show starting at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Inflatables and a climbing rock wall for kids will be on site. Wristbands for those are $10 per child.

5 to 9 p.m. Live music by Grindstone at Shelter #1
6 p.m. New Playground Groundbreaking at JDH Playground
7 p.m. Veteran’s Flag Retirement Ceremony (next to Volleyball Court)
7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Free 9 Hole LED Glow Mini Putt
9:30 p.m. (or when it gets dark) Fireworks Show
