Select B&B Theatres in the Kansas City area are having a Veterans-themed Retro Night on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. They’ll be showing a newly remastered ‘Sands of Iwo Jima’ at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 each.
Here’s a synopsis of the film:
“Haunted by his personal demons, Marine Sgt. John Stryker (Wayne) is both hated and feared by his men, who see him as a cold-hearted sadist. But when their boots hit the beaches, they begin to understand the reason for Stryker’s rigid form of discipline, as he leads them into one of the most treacherous battles in the Pacific.”
Participating theaters include B&B Liberty Cinema, B&B Harrisonville Cineplex, and B&B Marketplace 8 in Grain Valley. You can buy your tickets online or at the box office.
The movie will also be out on DVD/Blu-ray on November 11.
