$5 registration savings for Strutt With Your Mutt walk/run

Online registration for Wayside Waif’s annual Strutt With Your Mutt run/walk, is now open. Register early and save $5 with the code “EARLYBIRD5”. This offer expires June 25.

Strutt With Your Mutt is on Sunday, Sept. 15 in the Kansas City, MO neighborhood of Brookside. Each participant will receive a race packet that includes an event t-shirt, goodie bag, dog bandana and a race bib (if you’re running the timed race). Besides the 3K walk or 5K run with or without your dog, you can enjoy live music, a dog costume contest, a photo booth and vendors.

According to Wayside’s web site, all funds raised at the event stay here in Kansas City to benefit more than 6,200 homeless animals that come into their care each year. This includes medical care, behavior training, shelter, food and love.

Here’s a rundown of the registration schedule and corresponding fees:

General Registration (June 1 – July 24):

3K Walker (not timed): $30 Team Member; $35 Individual
5K Runner with dog (timed): $35 Team Member; $40 Individual
5K Runner without dog (timed): $35 Team member; $40 Individual
Kid’s Dash (10 and under): $15

Last Chance Registration (July 25 – Sept. 14):

3K Walker (not timed): $35 Team Member; $40 Individual
5K Runner with dog (timed): $40 Team Member; $45 Individual
5K Runner without dog (timed): $40 Team member; $45 Individual
Kid’s Dash (10 and under): $15

Day-of event registration (Sept. 15):

All 3K and 5K races: $45

7 a.m. – Event day registration opens and day-of packet pick up (Hint: save yourself a bit of hassle by picking up your race packet in advance. See dates and locations below)

8 a.m. – 5K run without dogs begins

8:30 a.m. – 5K run with dogs begins

9 a.m. – 3K walk begins

9:10 a.m. – Awards

9:45 a.m. – Wayside Waifs alumni photo shoot

9:50 a.m. – Wayside awards and best dog costume
