Jump n’ jive because Swingin’ Sunset at City Market, a FREE outdoor concert and dance event at the City Market, is happening from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.
Grab a partner and dance to the best of swing music from the 1930s and 1940s. Prizes will be awarded for best dancers, best dressed and more. Admission is FREE as is weekend parking at the City Market (5th and Walnut, Kansas City, MO) or take the KC Streetcar.
Not a dancer? Try Swing 101, a 30-minute crash course in basic dance steps is offered at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Or, you can just come down and enjoy the scene. Try playing one of many instruments in the musical petting zoo. Grab a delicious cocktail and something to eat at one the many City Market restaurants. Picnic table seating will be available.
All ages are welcome but bring your ID if you want to purchase adult beverages.
