The Overland Park Farmers’ Market is operating at the Overland Park Convention Center parking lot allowing local farmers and provide sales of fresh produce and plants. The market will remain at this location through the end of June.
Hours for the market are Saturdays, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. Wednesday markets begin June 3 and will be open the same hours. The first hour is reserved for high-risk shoppers. The market remains at the Overland Park Convention Center at 6000 College Blvd. through the end of June.
Vendors will wear masks and gloves and shoppers are encouraged to do the same. There will be no food samples, entertainment, activities, or merchandise for sale. Vendors are focusing on fresh produce, other foods and garden plants.
Guidelines & Tips for the Overland Park Farmers Market
In previous weeks, the market was set up as a drive-thru market with shoppers remaining inside their cars. As of May 16, the market will be set up as a walk-up market utilizing social distancing. The following practices will be recommended and followed to ensure the health of shoppers and vendors.
Shop alone, if possible, to minimize crowds.
Only one shopper/family allowed at a booth while ordering.
Stay at least six feet from other shoppers.
Face masks are encouraged.
Shoppers should not touch food on the tables. All vendors will serve customers.
Leave pets at home. Only service animals are allowed at the market.
