Transport Brewery Oktoberfest Activities

Break out your Lederhosen and German Steins because it’s time for Transport Brewery’s Oktoberfest celebration.

The Shawnee-based brewery is so excited about fall they are hosting a weeklong Oktoberfest celebration. You’re invited to eat, drink and be festive at a variety of family-friendly events taking place at Transport Brewery located  at 11113 Johnson Dr, Shawnee, KS. 

The 7th Annual Oktoberfest at Transport Brewery is underway in downtown Shawnee, Kansas. Running from September 15 to September 20, 2026, this six-day neighborhood tradition brings a slice of Munich to Johnson Drive.

The block party features craft beer, live local music, and traditional German food. Admission to the main festival grounds is completely free.

The Daily Festival Schedule

Transport Brewery is hosting daily beer releases, discounts, and community events leading up to the weekend block party.

• Tuesday, Sept 15: Authentic Beer Pairing Dinner
  The festival begins tonight at 6:30 p.m. with a four-course German dinner paired with Transport’s brews. This is a ticketed event that requires a reservation.
• Wednesday, Sept 16: Oktoberfest Trivia
  Teams can gather at 7 p.m. for a themed trivia night featuring prizes and local craft beer.
• Thursday, Sept 17: Downtown Shawnee Moonlight Market
  From 4 to 8 p.m., the brewery hosts the city’s Moonlight Market, which features more than 60 local artisan vendors.
• Friday, Sept 18: BYOStein Night
  From 5 to 10 p.m., attendees can bring their own beer mugs to the taproom for 20-ounce fills of select beers for $7.
• Saturday, Sept 19: The Main Event Block Party
  Starting at 3 p.m., the south parking lot transforms into an outdoor festival. The Outdoor Vendor Market runs from 3 to 7 p.m., followed by live music and the official Stein Holding Competition at 7 p.m.
• Sunday, Sept 20: Themed Guest Bartending
  The weekend concludes from 3 to 6 p.m. as local Mug Club members step behind the bar to serve the final pours of the festival.

Live Music Lineup (Saturday)

The outdoor stage features local musical acts performing on Saturday, September 19.

• KC Bones (3 to 5:30 p.m.): Providing daytime classic rock jams.
• The Pepper Sprouts (7 to 10 p.m.): Performing high-energy tunes to close out the evening.

A Neighborhood Collaboration

On Saturday, Transport Brewery is sharing the outdoor festival lot with neighboring businesses to offer a wider selection of drinks and food.

In addition to Transport’s tap list, attendees can purchase craft beers and specialty drinks poured by these local venues:

Local food trucks and pop-up stands will be stationed in the lot throughout the main event:

• Friday: 1 to 11 p.m.
• Saturday: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Outdoor festival lot opens at 3 p.m.)
• Sunday: 12 to 8 p.m.

Keep these guidelines in mind to help plan your visit to the festival.

• Bring Your Own Seating: Parking lot seating fills up quickly. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and pop-up tents to secure a spot.
• Family & Pet Friendly: The festival grounds are open to all ages and welcome well-behaved pets on leashes.
• Parking & Transit: Free street parking and public lots are available throughout downtown Shawnee.
